Cathy Holgate and Matt Gumbrell are well known on the Hibiscus Coast. Now joined by Anna Tiernan and Nick Smith with a team of eight nurses, they have built a reputation for high quality care of pets and their owners.

Been meaning to write this for awhile now. My cat had to be put down and the whole team was absolutely amazing, compassionate and thoughtful. They made it a very easy process for which was an emotionally difficult situation. Not only that but they even followed up with a card sending there’s condolences a week or two later. Very thoughtful, great service as always. Thanks team.

We are currently attending the puppy school. Loving it. We have a great group of oomans and a variety of puppies. The sessions are informative. Myf is relatable and knowledgeable throwing in her own experiences. It's great for socializing the puppies. Loving it!!!
Have been going to OBVC for a while now and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Saw dr Chantelle today to check up on my dogs stitches from her spay and she was thorough and even got a consult from the surgeon. Went above and beyond and gave me lots of advice on my dogs itching problem. You can tell the staff love animals and my dog is always happy getting cuddles from them. Thanks guys!

I wouldn't trust anyone else but Matt to care for my pets. He provided the best veterinary care for my old girl Lizzie. Matt's guidance helped both Lizzie and I through her multiple treatments, and his support, compassion and understanding at the end of her life meant so much to me. What stunned me the most, is after waiting 6 years, while visiting Matt with my new puppy, Diesel, he talked about Lizzie, he remembered her, he didn't forget her. Thank you so much to Matt and all the team at Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic.
Brilliant vet and service, my dog got clipped by a car at 6pm on a Friday night and luckily Orewa Beach Vet Clinic took my call and graciously offered to see him straight away even though I have never used their services before. Thorough check up and lovely manner with both my dog and me. Thanks so much!
Staff are amazing. This is not my local yet they are so good I'd drive from anywhere to come here. So professional, compassionate and all about animal welfare. Best team ever.
