Nice place to go for a walk, it's 6km if you go to each end and back when the tide isn't too far in There is a large car park and a loo block. Mornings and weekdays are quieter, it can sometimes get busy there on weekends and holidays. The waves are quite tame and good for swimming.
It is one of the best beaches in New Zealand. 3k long. East facing so spectacular sun rises. Never too crowded. 43k from Auckland.
The beach and the estuary is a such a pleasant fun. Great place to have fun with family and friends. Good place to snorkelers, skate board, walk around and stroll.
One of the most busiest beach in Auckland, because it’s great for children, swimming and surfing. There is a playground, changing room for people, toilets and a change table for infants/toddlers. It’s a perfect beach and there are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. There are also picnic tables but bring your own picnic blanket and sit underneath the natural shade that the lush trees provide.
An excellent beach for walking, one of the best.nnWatch the tide as it comes right up and will block access if you skip around the bays. There is also very limited space to walk whe the tide is higher.nnShops are tourist focused, so you will find prices to match that but a coffee and a nibble isn't too bad given the lovely destination.
