Hey, Great location by the beach. Friendly & helpful staff. The holiday park is definitely in need of a good makeover, bathrooms are old, tired, and didn’t feel that clean. The grounds look shabby and could do with some landscaping / gardens / drainage It’s fairly affordable but Its definitely no where near a 5 star facility park as previously mentioned. The cabin needs a fan for the humidity & basic dishes would be helpful. Rooms: Appreciated the mini fridge, toaster and kettle in the cabins. They could go with a full upgrade , with fans and some basics to make staying more comfortable. Walkability: Close to town and beach Uneven pathways around park to be wary of
Great little campsite on the edge of the domain. Good showers and kitchen with plenty of tables and chairs nearby. Near a busy road but hardly any road noise. The beach is a stones throw away. Site for 2 adults €50. May have got 4 stars if a lower price. Stayed on a Tasman Holiday site in Rotorua with its superb hot pools for only $39 per night. Now that's what I call good value
Our glamping tent was too close to the streetlight, it was also very bright inside at night. After I complained, the staff, Rebecca, was so kind and helpful that she moved us to a cabin, resolving the issue.Rooms: 3/5
Great location but the campground is very tired/rundown and in desperate need of an upgrade. Broken soap dispensers in the toilets and cubicle doors that don't close properly were just some of the things we noticed. The ground on the beachfront sites is rock hard and almost impossible to put tent pegs in to. We were kept awake until 2am by a noisy drunken camping group but when mentioned to the camp staff they didn't seem to care. I think the campground has potential to be fantastic but currently it needs attention. We left a day early after only one night and I'm not sure we would return.
I have stayed there in a tent and in a cabin when the weather deteriorated. Both experiences were great. Staff are very helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to find me a lovely sheltered quiet spot for the tent, and the cabin was really comfortable and clean. Truly great showers ! And perfect for long walks on beach and to cafes and shops.
We used Beach front powersite. Was a Awsome location. Can hear the waves at night. But everything you need is close by. Bbq ,toilets, water, showers & recycling/landfill bins. Note that there's a public foot path infront of the Beach. So privacy is next to nothing during the day.
I would bad service, we discussed with a lady last night moved from beach side to road side as the wind too strong and she told me 15dollar will be refund to me. Then on th e next day morning, a very rude guy , he said he was the site manager. And he can't do refund because it was our choose to move. Very rude and even no smiling. Well, I don't care about few dollars, but the way he dealing with us is really sucks.
Nice location right on the beach and close to orewa town centre. Facilities are a little old but clean. Checks should be done on sites when guest arrive as tents had dogs which arent allowed over the peak season. Very noisy main road at night but no fault of the campsites.Rooms: 3/5
Amazing loved it here. Staff ever so helpful especially with my bad situation with broken down new van. Squeezed me and my daughter into a powered site. Ever so greatful and was able to enjoy a unexpected holiday with my sister and familyService: 5/5
Pretty good overall, it was quite busy which isn't my ideal. The facilities were clean. Our only real issue is that we picked it for the free wifi but they only give you 250mb which was used up in about 5 minutes of admin emails and invoices.Rooms: 3/5
