Cosy and welcoming place to spend a few nights, away from the hustle and bustle. Away from the city centre Queenstown, but within walking distance 52mins, 3.8kms, easy evening walk back after dinner for example, or you can catch the local bus, #1 route, for about $4pp. Clean and well looked after. Shared bathroom, but that worked for me. The owners were very accommodating and I am thankful that they kept my luggage safe whilst I went on a 4 day hike in the Fjordland NP. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for looking after my luggage!
We had a really lovely stay! Our host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We stayed for 8 nights, and the location was perfect. We had a car, so getting into the town centre was easy—only a 5-minute drive—also plenty of street parking available at Ora. There is also a bus 2mins walk away from hi h goes straight into town.nnThe host even took us for a swim in the lake, and we warmed up afterward in the jacuzzi, which was such a nice touch. The living spaces were great, and we met some really cool people. We spent a lot of time hanging out together in the kitchen, living area, and on the patio, sharing food and stories.nnThe shared bathrooms and toilets were always clean, and I never had to wait to use them. I had everything I needed.nThis is a home stay, so don’t come expecting a 5-star hotel, it’s more of a cozy homestay which is part of the charm.nnWe had such a great time, I had to leave this review!
Had a lovely few nights here with my mum after completing my university exams. We couldn't have chosen a more calming, inviting, and peaceful place to unwind. A great location with welcoming hosts, and an appropriate price. The facilities were great especially the coffee machine and were complemented by breathtaking views. We loved our stay and will certainly be returning !
Our stay at Kaari’s place was absolutely wonderful. Her retreat is a true haven of peace, surrounded by nature with the most breathtaking view. The energy there is something special: calm, positive, and deeply soothing. Kaari welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we felt at home right away. It’s rare to find a place that feels so balanced and full of good energy. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and very grateful. Thank you, Kaari, for creating such a magical space!
Overall AMAZING!nRooms and bathrooms are very nice and very clean.nCarrie and her family are wonderfull.nIn the morning we went swimming in the lake.nCarrie helped us to go in, that was refreshing!nAn amazing experience, by far the best place we have ever been to!n100% must do.
