Absolutely amazing! 2hr package in the tranquility pool was an excellent experience, complete with swim up bar, towelling robes, and Dyson hair dryers. Pool is beautiful with a starry cave and heaps of seating in different areas, easy to find a nice quiet place to yourself. Staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful too, and the place was apparently fully booked but didn't feel overcrowded. Whole experience is amazing, definitely worth the $60pp price!
Wife and I sent the kids to school, took a nice drive from Christchurch and enjoyed an amazing 4 hours in the pools chatting, eating and drinking at the swim up bar. The most relaxing way to spend a day without the kids. We even got back with time to spare before school ended. Incredible staff combined with a well thought out beautiful venue, we absolutely loved it. We had a margarita pizza that was also excellent, crisp base and tasty generous topping at a very reasonable price. Loved everything.
Myself and my wife had the opportunity to visit the Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa directly after Christmas. Really impressive location with outstanding landscape views. The swim up bar was a very cool concept! All the pools are fantastic quality! The staff especially the guy working in the bar was friendly, hospitable and very welcoming. We were enjoying so much we decided to stay on for dinner which was very good. We will certainly visit again in the future!. Not over crowded at all and just a really nice, clean, modern upscale hot pool location.
Fantastic family fun. Clean and spacious. We're booked in the 4 hour spot and we still had to Drag 2 wrinkled kids out at the end. Changing facilities great. Recommend using the lockers outside to beat the queue on getting an inside locker. Food and drinks also great. Plus free ev charging
so divine! we came here on the perfect day, was cold, raining and during the week so my friends and I had this place all to ourselves for majority of the morning that we were there and we loved it. service was amazing, the place was beautiful, tidy and clean and the food was delicious and we can't forget to mention how convenient the swim up bar is - such a good idea! will definitely be coming back again
Highlight of our time in methven, amazing food, service and experience. Some things to note are pools were heated to 38c on the adult only side and it is all interconnected except the splash spa sized pool. We got a spa treatment at the same time - it was lovely and calming. Highly recommend as a day trip from Christchurch
Great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Locker is provided and accessed by your provided wrist band, with a robe and tool inside. Tranquility pool has a Bar in the pool with 2 alcoholic drinks within the two hour time frame, and a food menu. you can eat in the pool with a provided floating basket/tray. Also this section is sheltered by walls and a huge soffit covers around half of the pool. There is a kids section, and the cave area is very nice and romantic as it darkens in the evening. We will definitely be back.
What a terrific place, we visited on a superb sunny day so enjoyed the stunning mountains and big sky views. Loved the choice of a quiet sit, soak & chat with break free moments in the grotto, lazy river & water jets. Nice private changing rooms, under floor heating, free lockers & a swimsuit spinner to dry off your togs all on a $29 pass.
World class facility. Beautiful architecture, amazing views, heated flooring, robes, lockers, towels, hair dryers, swim up bar, amazing food and exceptional staff. We were lucky to have snow on the ground too. Proud to have this in our back yard
Wonderful luxurious experience. Changing rooms are fabulous...showers with body wash, individual change cubicles and hairdryers. Guests are provided with lockers containing robes and towels, so no need to bring your own. Swim up bar is great, food can be ordered and eaten whilst in the pools, the food was lovely and was of a restaurant quality therefore not as cheap as cafe snacks would be. We visited the tranquility pool side which is for adults only in photos. There is also a discovery pool side for families with children, that has separate changing rooms. We will be back with the kids to try the discovery side - this is a cheaper option. This experience is quite different to other hot pools in canterbury, with the tranquility side having more emphasis on a quiet, calm and luxurious experience. It is relatively expensive, however I felt it was worth it for a treat. It would not suit someone who doesn't like sitting still and relaxing for periods of time!
