At Opononi Area School we are committed to providing a high quality education for our students in a supportive learning environment.
Our three foundation areas (primary, middle and secondary) of the school are underpinned by the 3 waves of Hokianga - Ngaru Nui, Ngaru Roa and Ngaru Paewhenua.
Our school vision and curriculum also aligns with this and the school recognises the unique nature of our area in terms of environment, history, tourism and community. We are able to offer a variety of learning opportunities which cater for the needs of all students from Year 0 to Year 13. We are proud of the achievements of our young people. Opononi students can stand tall and be proud when they leave our school, knowing that they have been given every opportunity to succeed in their learning.
