Great pool and accommodation park. I just went to the pools A large standard pool with a slide dominates the area. It was the perfect compromise between hot and cold. Awesome refresh after a big walk up wairere falls. With two hot mineral pools off to the slide. Everything clean and tidy and a small snack store for tasty treats.
Pur second time staying here, love the friendly, helpful staff. The private hot springs pool is so tranquil. Yes it might need a bit of updating but to be honest the facilities are just enough. The one thing that struck us this time round was the total loss of the beautiful trees around the campsite, total destruction of what was one of the features we loved. Hopefully it's not because the golf course wants to expands as that's not OK. Nature before a sport always.
What an awesome place to stay. This old school campground is a great place to stay. Grounds are lovely, pools wonderfully blissful. Staff are brilliant Carryline and Debs are a laugh a minute and so welcoming and helpful always a smile. Thoroughly recommend this place Cheryl
Camp ground and facilities in the camp ground great. No phone signal in the place at all. Owners friendly. Pools unfortunately look just like they were in the 60s. Could really do with a revamp as the concrete is really rough. Price for a powered site was reasonable
Absolutely horrible stay… where do I start. 1: The cell phone blockers: even with reception and unlimited data your unable to use it, this place has somehow blocked all use of personal data therefor making each guest have to purchase 2gig for $10 which is outrageous I pay a phone plan for a reason I shouldn’t have to buy data when I all ready have it! 2: The pictures online are extremely deceiving. My 8 months old single nursery is bigger then the kitchen cabins on-site. We had brown water in the kitchen, there’s clearly no form of insulation as overnight the condensation on the windows was hideous dripping water on the windows, pooling at the bottom. The bed are absolutely horrible hard beds my mother and partner could hardly manage to walk at the end of their restless night if you have a bad back DO NOT stay here 3: The bathrooms are disgusting a dribble coming out of the shower and a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly. 4: The idea of the hot pool and spas were great and they were nice but a bit of a let down. As a guest you have free access to these, great! The warmer pool is roughly shin deep and the concrete so rough I grazed myself while trying to get some warmth under the shallow water. The slightly cooler but still warm pool was again nice no seating in the pool just again rough concrete to lean on which left sore markings on my arms and back. We never tried the warm lap pool so no comment on that. The images online are definitely the private spa pools which are $10 per person for 30mins bit expensive if you ask me. Overall the stay was horrible I’d definitely look elsewhere before choosing this place. I think all other reviews are from guest who have stayed in their own camper which in that case would be nice but again the internet situation would be a let down. I can only Go as low as 1 start if I could it would be negative star review.
Never again!! Horrible place to stay, pictures are deceiving size wise, beds are as hard as hell. Toilets and showers dirty, brown water in the kitchen. The idea of the hot pools was lovely but again very deceiving. It was lucky one family did not come as there would have been somebody sleeping in the car as no room for everybody. Cell phone blockers, for safety reasons is disgusting. Came to visit unwell family member, lucky they didn’t try to get hold of us because they wouldn’t have been able to. Having to buy internet for $10 is an absolute ripoff. Don’t be fooled by other feedback!!!!!
Nice place with some good things like free hot showers, nice hot pools, good facilities. But they charge you extra for the wifi like in the 90s! Its probably just a matter of time until they will install coin operated toilets or so. I mean there’s is no reason to sell WiFi per gigabyte in 2023.
The pool was great, but didn't have good experience in the cabin. Too noisy. Heard the neighbors partying until 2am. Woken up the whole family.
A fairly basic setup that is well maintained. Price matches the setup and is great value. Pool water is crystal clear and not too heavily chlorinated in the big pool.
Soooooooo grateful! We turned up to another establishment who turned us away because we had our doggo took us last time, so then we tried here. TBH, we were put off by other reviews. But we’re in a self contained caravan, so wot the hay- we decided to give it a go. Soooo pleased we did! It is a very established park. We stayed on site 59 see pic in site map which was awesome because all the sites on that side are elevated and look over the lower portion of the park. The grounds were immaculate, grass like a bowling green. Our pooch was welcome. And they had hot pools. SPOILT. The pvt spa’s were a bit old, and could do with a freshen up but woteva…. The kitchen was fine. The other campers were wonderfully friendly folk. SUMMATION- we’ll be back
