Was the best experience! Revitalising is correct! It was so relaxing. And the masseuses were so good! So considerate about preferences from refreshments to massage focus areas. The refreshments were just as good. I absolutely NEED and want to come again and will be telling friends and family about the amazing experience provided I don’t bring them along
It was a fantastic experience there! The scenery was beautiful and the pool spa is comfortable. 1hr is just right, any longer would be a little too long in my opinion. The ice cream and drinks were also really delicious. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. Beautiful pictures taken and nothing to worry about privacy. Clean and very aesthetic environment. Would recommend it to my friend! It is highly recommended to book early in advance. Popular time slots were all fully booked even a month before the trip.
I recently had an experience at Onsen Hot Pools that exceeded all my expectations! My husband and I are avid hot pool enthusiasts, and we love to explore the unique offerings at every destination we visit. With many hot pools under our belts, we didn't have high expectations for Onsen, but we were in for a delightful surprise. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with a stunning panoramic view. The delightful selection of drinks and ice cream nearby made the experience even more enjoyable. It felt like we had been transported to another world, completely immersed in the serene tranquility of the mountains. One hour flew by in the blink of an eye! I cannot recommend this relaxing getaway enough. It’s truly a hidden gem nestled in the hills and has become my top choice for hot pools in New Zealand.
It was a rainy day, and although it was cloudy, the rainy atmosphere had its own charm and was quite nice. I was told by the staff that if the water is too hot, I could add cold water, but from a Korean perspective, the water wasn’t hot; it was lukewarm. Actually, I think it would be better if it were hotter. Nevertheless, it was a valuable experience.
This experience is a "must do" in Queenstown. It was worth every cent and more. We booked the sunset time frame of 6.30pm 2 months out and we feel we got the best of both worlds. Admiring the stunning 180 degree views in the afternoon night but also enjoying the views in the darkness. What a superb relaxing and luxurious way to finish our ski holiday. We will be back !
The front desk and person who'd showed us our pool room explained everything clearly and concisely. There is an option to use the shared showers if you run out of time in your personal room. I personally enjoyed the outdoor shower, following the hot pool. A couple of gripes I had was due to renovation, you can hear the saws when the spa jets are off and we were lucky enough we had loud neighbours at the end of out time, I can imagine this would not be very relaxing listening to others chattering. It's definitely a must do whilst in Queenstown.
Great reception upon arrival, quick and friendly service. I had an Onsen + massage booking. I arrived slightly early and they kindly prepared my Onsen 15 minutes earlier than my booking which was a really nice gesture. My massage/facial was done by a staff member whose name was Liz i think, and she was fantastic. Really friendly and checked in with me throughout the massage to make sure I was comfortable. She did a great job and was very professional. I hope the managers acknowledge good employees and give her the props she deserves.
This place is magical! We did a one hour soak and one hour spa time and really enjoyed it. Note that to me this seemed to be more of a hot tub than what you get in Japan, meaning I smelled a lot of chlorine. The snacks were delicious and a great touch!
Staff were friendly, car park was not too far either from entry. However, If you have mobility issues then it is a problem because from car park to entry of the establishment it is roughly 100 meters with steep pathway or stairs. Now when we arrived we were greeted nicely and were told that once pool is ready we can start earlier than our booked time but what let us down was that we were not informed that if we are starting early then time will be finished early as well. It is fair however better communication could have given them 5 stars from myself. Anyways, views were breathtaking as we did original onsen. Must, must go once.
Amazing place. Great, friendly staff that took care of everything. The views are second to none and the hot tub was incredibly relaxing, followed by a great massage. Well worth it
