Story

As a family run building company with two of our own children, reading newspaper article headlines such as “1600 deaths attributed to cold houses each winter in New Zealand” and “New Zealand’s poor housing is making our children sick” made us react in such a way, that we knew we had to make a change.
This started with looking into intelligent building systems that were different from what our parents and grandparents had been building with and living in.
When you think about how phones have changed, cars have changed, we are more conscious of what we are eating and we know the importance of exercise, what has changed about our shelter?
For over ten years, we have been researching different building technologies and combining these technologies to come up with the “Discovering a new way to live” model.
For the past four years, we have stepped away from building your traditional stick frame homes and focusing on what we can do, to have a big impact on how you live, with a far less impact on the world we live in.
We are now in a position where we have tried and tested combinations of these building components which we are continuing to develop and improve.
One Kapuka Lane combines these intelligent construction systems making healthy living easy for you and future generations to discover a new way to live.
