A pleasant regional park and campground managed by Auckland city council. Basic facilities long drop toilets. Must be booked in advance by phone or with the local ranger. Undulating ground with some flat pitches. Coastal walkway and perimeter track. Good children's play park at campground entrance. Can be noisy in the early morning and late at night due aircraft on flight path to Auckland airport. Some facilities for the disabled.
Nice camp ground. There is a gate by entrance, you need to book through Auckland City Council to get the code to unlock the gate, so feel pretty safe. There is a walkway nearby as well. And cold water shower . Long drop Toilet is clean.
Good place for camping. We had great night. My kids enjoyed their stay. Only the toilet was not what we expected. Not maintained in a proper manner. The pit toilet smells very badly. They Could have installed a flush toilet.nKids play grounds, picnic spots and beaches nearby are awesome
Excellent facilities. Sloping campgrounds - so hard to find a flat spot for the RV but quiet with the sounds of the sea below to lull you to sleep
Easy to get to and has shops close by. The beach is great for walking on and exploring, there are a couple of playgrounds and it has good amenities.
