My husband and I decided to give Omak Meats a go. First we found the meat good, being Rump and pork steak.nSecond time round, we bought a whole scotch fillet, well, we were so disappointed. It was so bland and the texture was awful, it didn't feel like meat, was very mushy. We have always eaten scotch fillet all our lives and never had such rubbish like this. Also bought a chicken from them. When I cooked that, like I've done all my life, took it out of the oven, it was pink! What the hell is going on . Never ever have I've seen a pink chook. Needless to say, I will never shop there again. Where is this meat coming from, that's what I would like to know. This is not NZ meat.
Pork and beef sausages were nice, but the main reason I ordered was for was the ribs. The image on the product page has a huge amount of meat attached to the bone, but what arrived was just some pre-packaged Swift brand ribs which are OK, but in reality, nothing like the picture. If you're selling a pre-packaged product, then please just make it clear on the product page - save me spending $20 on postage for something that's available at all of my local butchers.
I bought beef ribs yesterday, oh my god they were excellent quality !!!! 100% worth it ! Some of the best ribs I've ever had. And I'm argentinian lol . Thank you very much
I generally have reservations about all online ordering but being Akl based, it was the only practical option so I placed my first online order with them. Products arrived in perfect condition and beautifully packed. There was a little niggly issue around 1 or 2 of the smallgoods so I advised Omak of this purely for their awareness. Well they went above and beyond to remedy that, and the matter was resolved with absolute professionalism and great communication thank you very much Karina.nSo in our experience, both their service and their products have been impeccable and hence we will continue to reward them with our loyal custom.
The Pastrami is out of this world, the best I ever tasted, can certainly compete with similar products made in France, Spain and Italy. Well done and keep them coming
