I had a coffee and a mussel pie. Whole mussels in pie. If you like the taste of sea food chowder you will love this pie. Staff are friendly and we sat at a picnic table outside the shop. I grabbed another mussel pie for the road!
I admit, the primary attraction, is that I know an Oliver an wanted to send him on photos of the place. The second was I wanted a basic sort of lunch and most of the other places in town seemed too fancy. The pie was great, and the custard slice one of the thickest, nicest I have had in a while. There was a steady flow of people and the staff were kept pretty busy.
Great pies, tasty rolls. A place to sit outside as well.busy ,clean and tidy.highly recommend.
This has to be one of the best bakeries in Thames & only a few minutes from Kopu Bridge, so whether you go over the State Highway 25a or the coast road around Coromandel stop in. Great value. They sell awesome coffee and everyday fresh made in the premises savouries, cakes & sandwiches. Perfect for early fisherman’s needs, family picnics & work lunches. They also have big cakes for special events. Lots of parking for boats, cars, trailers & easy access into shop.
A very busy place! The hot chocolate and Ginger Pistachio are yummy.
