A very busy place! The hot chocolate and Ginger Pistachio are yummy.
Great pies, tasty rolls. A place to sit outside as well.busy ,clean and tidy.highly recommend.
Fantastic to be open so early. Lovely coffee and a great range of food choices , I especially love the almond croissant and the brownie. It’s my regular stop when I’m down at the beach, and perfect for grabbing a good coffee since the kids are up early.
I admit, the primary attraction, is that I know an Oliver an wanted to send him on photos of the place. The second was I wanted a basic sort of lunch and most of the other places in town seemed too fancy. The pie was great, and the custard slice one of the thickest, nicest I have had in a while. There was a steady flow of people and the staff were kept pretty busy.
Would not return personally. We tried a mince and cheese potato top pie, which was stodgy on the outside and with a thin, watery, overly sweet sauce on the inside, very few chunks of meat. The carrot cake was okay - decent enough cake but artificially sweet icing. The custard slice had a nice texture but tasted very artificial.
