Came for a visit after someone recommended it - Lots of yummmmm here! Entrees were Garlic Tikka, Schezwan Momo, Garlic Momo For mains we had Chicken Curry, Aloo Palak potato & spinach and garlic cheese Naan. Glad we came and will be back to try more!
A bit disappointed with our lunch here today. We ordered the lunch special to takeaway with mild butter chicken for our kids. We wish we had known that the lunch special is only a half sized curry and not a normal menu sized curry because we would have just ordered from the menu instead. We were then disappointed again when we opened it and saw that the container was quite underfilled. Unfortunately the curry came really spicy for a mild and was more like a medium so the kids couldn't eat it in the end anyway. The taste itself was OK. A thicker more tomato based gravy which I quite like but if you are hoping for "mall butter chicken" like my husband enjoys, this isn't that type.
Amazing nepali food. Especially, their tandoori and jhol momos are awesome. Lamb starter is yum as well. Not a friendly staff but quick service. Staff should train for etiquettes for the case of customer service.
First time trying out Nepalese cuisine and they definitely delivered! Delicious food and great service. We received our food within minutes after ordering. Had the momo platter, butter chicken, chilli chicken and lamb masala. Momos were divine. Will definitely be back Food: 4/5
Good place to have starters. Chilli chicken momo's and Chicken chowmein was tasty. However their Naan and mains are disappointing. Ordered Fish masala and Chicken kadai..It's tasteless and Naan is too dry.
My favourite place to have Mo:mo in Auckland. Jhol mo:mo is my personal favourite from their menu.
Great and tasty food. Was soo good I forgot to take pictures. Delicious, will be back for sure! Edit: I had to go back and once again the food tasted really good. The dumplings are so yum! And this time I took a couple of pics
Very disappointed! Ordered 8 dishes from here and 3 of the dishes literally tasted the same. Wasn't as authentic as we thought it would be. A very unpleasant experience. The naan's were overcooked and burnt. Definitely not a place to visit if you want indo-chinese food. Guessing the other food would be a lot tastier, from the reviews on here and hopefully we get to try it sometime. C+ Overall!
Low rating just for the experience we had literally 20 mins ago. My partner and I had previously gotten the $17 chicken chowmein. Today we decided to eat in the restaurant. We looked through the menu standing on the front counter to see if we wanted anything else. We told the guy at the counter that we were eating in and then sat at a table. After we finished our chowmein we went back up the pay and the lady there said $19 for the meal. Initially we had thought they had raised the price, but upon asking her why it was $19 instead of the $17 on the menu, she simply said pointed to the menu we looked at and just said "that's the takeaway menu". Well lady, why was the dine in menu not presented to us when we said we wanted to eat in. Obviously, $2 more doesn't bother me, if I was presented with the dine in menu when seated then I would have paid $19 no question asked. I questioned her once more but decided to leave the matter when I could see she was definitely uninterested in talking more about this. Poor value for customers. If your customers come for dine in then it is your responsibility to let them know that there is a dine in menu sitting behind the counter where no customer would reach over the computer to grab, we are obviously then looking at the menu standing on the counter.
We ordered Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka, Goat Biriyani and Naans. Biriyani was soggy and doesn’t taste fresh. Goat curry was bland and gravy was watery. Chicken tikka was unappetising. Naans were rubbery and doesn’t taste good. Price were too high for what we got. Not at all worth for what we paying for.
