Bright, beautiful little bakery/ cafe. Had an absolutely epic cookie, and they use proper nice tea bags. Beautiful outdoor garden space to sit in, plenty of shady spots. Cabinet and pie range is excellent. There’s also a really cute one in Paekakariki.
Soul satisfying experience — Steak n cheese pie was rich in flavour, heaps of chunky steak, could use a bit more cheese — creamy mushroom pie 10/10! — Cinnamon Roll, fresh and soft with loads of glaze — Ham & salami baguette sandwich - good amount of filling, good portion, bread could have been a bit softer — great coffee - overall impressed with our meal and all of this was via uber eats
Stopped here for a bite of lunch with 3 hungry teenagers and a 7 year old partial to a ‘peanut chalacka’ pain au chocolat. Cosy little cafe with incredible range of fresh cabinet food, donuts and pies, it was difficult to choose because everything looked so yum! Service was quick and coffee was great. Only downside was no toilets on site but that’s ok, we found some close by. Will be back!
Popped in to grab a quick lunch late in the day - missed out on the hotfood options from the cabinet at that time of the day.nGrabbed a BLT and a donut. both were delicious, but I was a bit surprised by the $16 charge for the BLT. It was good with fresh ingredients but glad I was on my own and didn't have the family with me as that was more spendy than expected.
This was recommended to us by a friend. We were not disappointed. We tried the steak and mushroom pie and the creamy mushroom pie. Both were delicious. Thy also have assortment of sweets and sandwiches. Is definitely good spot to stop by if in Waikanae. There are few seats outside but are mainly for a quick sit and eat and not to lounge about too long.
