The old Post office is such a cozy place, lovely garden, great bed, beautifully done rooms, lots of books to read, awesome walks around, this is all you need for a relaxing time away and, I don't think you could find a better host, Deb is so incredibly lovely. Thank you so much Deb for asking if we wanted to come to the fund raising event, we really had a ball at the Hall such a fun evening with a lot of awesome people from Paparoa and beyond. Rooms: Great bed, beautifully decorated room, a relaxed and welcoming feeling. Walkability: 5 min walk to the village shops, Saturday farmers market and takeaways
We received a warm welcome from the delightful host Deb. This historical BnB is a wonderful and rare find, beautifully restored, clean neat and a very comfortable bed. Deb prepared a super breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade breads and jam's. Definitely worth a stay..highly recommend.
Average space noisy by highway 12 maybe Friday night more traffic around Wifi up down and if need do business hard work. One night enough Sat we knew local markets it’s good well worth pop in Parked car in garage as circumstances were we wanted lock up not sure on area and given break ins across nz best be safe
OK so my partner got stuck with flat battery after midnight as brynderwin was closed off so Oakley was the way to the north. I was on my way but it was late and very remote. I had to wake up the host as safety is a priority. She was so fantastic to us and her partner was so obliging. Thank you so much for your help with the other lovely couple. From IGOTU
What a lovely B&B! A very beautiful lucious garden and a wonderful accomodation. There are many beautiful books and trinkets in the room which add to the lovely atmosphere. The home made food is also amazing and only overshadowed by the warmth and kindness of Deb, the hostess.Rooms: 5/5
This has to be one of our favourite places ever. So welcoming, relaxing and cosy. The best home baked rye bread, Christmas cake, delicious spray free stewed fruit and home made jams and orange whiskey marmalade, fresh eggs and juice. Comfortable beds, beautiful garden and cute chickens. Lots of delicate extra touches. Incredibly attentive host with a great sense of style and humour. Loved it and will be recommending to friends.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Beautiful space with a comfy bed. Was just what we needed Rooms: 5/5
Everything about this stay, from the prompt call back to the helpful over the phone booking, directions and help, to the gasp-worthy first view of the accommodation as you rounded the corner, and the stay itself, was perfect. The cool and bright hallways lead to a comfortable living room stocked with loaner books, dvds, and plenty of information on things to do in the area and it's history. The expansive, pretty cottage gardens out back were perfect for picnics and cooling down our fave spot: under the jacaranda trees. A friendly host provided a stand out breakfast of homemade breads and a large selection of homemade jams, marmalades, fruits, muesli, and yoghurt. Honestly, for the price, you couldn't beat it. There are plenty of things to do around the area for a day or three. The beds and pillows super comfy and bathrooms great - we loved all of it and will absolutely be back. Thanks so much Deb! What a treasure you've created there.
Love this beautiful, clean & relaxing location. The owner Deb is warm & welcoming providing guests with exemplary hospitality, including a delicious breakfast with scrumptious grapes from her vines & home made treats. Highly recommend to all with grateful thanks Deb on an enjoyable stay xRooms: 5/5
My partner and I stayed two for two nights and we didn't want to leave. The garden room was lovely, Deb gave us a delicious breakfast and we sat with the other guests and chatted and shared tips. Very peaceful and tranquil. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!
