The island is just beautiful. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Facilities are very clean and comfortable. Probably more like a resort than a lodge. Larger facilities, great variety of food and with many activities being offered. There were many families with children and it seems that Octopus has everything planned for having little kids around. Beautiful beach and amazing corals. Nearby activities: They offer a variety of activities. You can do snorkeling, kayaking, trekking, stand up paddling, scuba diving and many others. Food & drinks: Food was delicious and they have a very wide variety of dishes available al lunch/dinner.
Octopus Resort is THE BEST!  The beach and setting are lovely, but what makes it really stand out is the friendliness and talent of the staff.  Outstanding service with a smile!  And the food is five star gourmet.  We highly recommend the Octopus!Rooms: 4/5
Amazing. Everything is very good! Food options for dinner are 5 stars, breakfast and lunch very good too! Owners seems nice and genuine and care about the resort. Rooms are clean and good sized. Honestly couldn’t fault them will be back!
The staff, location and food were all excellent. The resort is well set out with your restaurant looking out to the ocean. There are plenty of sun loungers at the beach and by the pool. The staff were friendly and keen to meet your needs. The rooms were clean and the end was comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here. I also went to the local village for their sunday service which was a lovely experience.
Octopus Resort will not disappoint. Our bure which came with ceiling fan, dimming lights, and an amazing outdoor shower. The staff are so lovely and the food and beverages were excellent. Only wish there were more vegetarian options. We will definitely be returning some time and bringing some more school books and pencils for the kindi kids. Snorkeling is great! Don't miss the night snorkel.
We love Octopus Resort and have had the privilege of staying here four times! There is daily yoga, awesome massage, lovely people and a relaxed atmosphere. Great for kids and teens with the pool and volleyball plus basket weaving, snorkelling off the beach and a Mantaray trip. We saw 12 Mantaray which was an amazing experience. Sunsets are a feature too.
We spent 7 nights at Octopus Resort. I thoroughly enjoyed it though in all honesty, fours nights would have been sufficient. I did really appreciate the free morning and evening yoga class. The ladies in the spa provided excellent massages at a highly affordable price. I would highly recommend them and any of their professional services. The food at Octopus was superb. There were choices given for every meal and they were all delicious. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was very hot to sleep in even with the ceiling fan. The ocean view bungalows had air conditioning which would have made evenings much more tolerable. Also the shared bathrooms in the Garden bungalow’s needed some renovations. The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful, and so tolerant. I think the world could learn some lessons on getting along and respect from the Fijians. Such a lovely culture. The coral reef was not the best at Octopus Resort. There were some fish but the reefs only had ~ 40 % coverage for coral. Also there was only one safe channel to get from the beach to snorkel. Getting out to snorkel was easy but there was a significant current to deal with when returning to the beach. If you are not a strong confident swimmer, the return trip to the beach would be very intimidating. Overall I did enjoy my stay at Octopus Resort and would recommend it for a three or four day stay. Everything you can imagine in an island paradise! The location is absolutely beautiful, the food is great, and the crew spoils you! the diving is extremely close 5 minutes boat ride and on par with the best coral reefs in the world. It can get a bit warm in the bures which aren't air conditioned, but that really pales in significance to how great a time you'll have. Tom in the Sulu Bar is a shot artist - be sure to ask him for a special shot on the Saturday Party Night! To the south side of the beach is an amazing spot to stargaze on a clear night! Thanks for the memories!
Wonderfully built with bures and bungalows for all types, family or backpackers. The food was amazing and the "away from home but feels like home" feeling was very predominant. Love it.
Come and experience the real Fiji, visit Octopus Resort and enjoy genuine Fijian hospitality. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated like one of the family. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and traditional. We got to upgrade to a beachfront Bure on our last night - it was bliss, air con, complimentary mini bar, bath robes, floating day bed, tv, wifi. A great choice of activities some free and some with a cost. Our favourite was jewellery making, village visit and Mantary snorkel - I didn’t see one but my son did - and great snorkelling in the marine reserve. Beautiful silky sand and sunsets, snorkelling straight out from the beach at the resort but it was a bit windy for a few days which made it more tricky to get out to the snorkelling area. Lovely massage and beauty treatments from Torika and her team - they even had a kids beauty treatment menu. The food was amazing, a combination of buffet nights and alacarte. One suggestion would be to have a waiter allocated to each family group for the duration of the stay as we found it a bit unorganised until they got to know you. My son has autism so he had special food requirements. The Chef was very accommodating. We loved our 6 day stay and had tears welling up as we waved our goodbyes. We’ll definitely be back one day. Thanks to Tiko for making it a great experience. The Ritchfield Family from New Zealand
