We had a few days away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ocean View Motel at Ōhope Beach was an absolute gem. Great location with the beach across the very quiet road. We had the penthouse and the view of the ocean was amazing. The unit was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely staff.
We spent 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The sweeping views of Ohope Beach were wonderful where we could hear the sea and watch the waves. The room was great with everything we needed and Glynnis was so welcoming and lovely. We will definitely be staying again.
Fabulous location just across the road from the beach. We had a lovely room on the grand floor with a deck and outdoor furniture facing the view. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We would love to come back and stay again.

Disclaimer: This is the second time that I've booked at this Motel. The first time there was a double booking but Glynis kindly sorted other accommodation in the same area at the same price. This time accommodation was changed to a different location the other day and then I got my original booking back. I didn't ask why but trusted Glynis to work it out.nnThe stay: we had a lovely, clean and comfortable unit. Glynis left us some lovely treats and made some local recommendations that made us feel right at home. Our unit had a view of the beach on one side and the native forest on the other. The unit was clean and we had plenty of towels and bedding.
