In Oamaru this is a highlight for railway enthusiasts. A ride in an open wagon pulled by a historic locomotive is not only a great experience for children and is definitely a special experience. You can tell the staff's enthusiasm for showing off the well-restored historical pieces.
Great to see people keeping these trains on track. The ride was a bit short, but the penguin at the end made it good again. For children a must do.
We had a great time riding the rails.
Dedicated band of volunteers keep Oamaru's history alive with round trips to the historic harbour quarry. Got to see fur seals!
It is a terrific experience!
