I completed the Diploma in Digital Marketing in 2021 and found the course to be both comprehensive and relevant to the modern world in which we work. There is a good mix of creative, strategic and technical skills learnt throughout the course. The teachers are knowledgeable but approachable professionals that want to see you succeed. As a mother, being able to work remotely was invaluable and I enjoyed the weekly classes. I highly recommend NZIE to anyone considering their options.
I completed the course called "Create engaging content for Social Media" through NZIE and I found the course interesting and informative. I would recommend taking this course if you're a beginner to social media and need tips to create engaging content for your business. Steve the instructor explains a variety of easy to use tools that you can incorporate when designing your social media strategy. I found the course well structured, covered a range of topics video, images and copy writing to help you increase your engagement metrics. I would have loved more of a deep dive into the data that I should be looking at and how to best 'pivot' when things aren't working.
I am a graduate having completed the Diploma in Digital Marketing as of May 2022. Coming from a designer background, with no experience in marketing or business, I found that this course provided a good foundation across all aspects of digital marketing. As I was looking to get into a designer role in the marketing industry, the broad skill set and knowledge I learnt throughout this course helped me to up skill and stand out during the job process. About a month and a half after I finished my studies and started job hunting, I managed to find a full time job as a Graphic and Web Designer. The "Pros": -Highly knowledgeable tutors that are easy to get along with. -Decent exposure to industry tools and software -Broad coverage of all areas of marketing The "Cons": -Some content overlapped between the different papers though I believe they have made changes since I finished -Some content was outdated, such as some of the video and software tutorials as things in this industry move quite fast, content should be refreshed more often Other things to note: -It is an academic institution first and foremost, so grades and performance on assignments and assessments are important. -The workload can be heavy at times and I would suggest part-time study if you are working full time. -If you come from a marketing background you will probably be familiar with a lot of the content from your experience in the industry, as this course I would say is tailored more to people who are brand new to marketing. -If you are more interested in learning some industry software/programs/platforms/applications and/or just want to up skill in a particular area, and are not interested in the academic side, there are probably small 5 to 10 week courses that I would recommend that you take instead of doing this diploma. Overall I would say my experience was positive and if you are like me and looking to up-skill and/or make a change to your career and move towards marketing, then I think that this course will provide you with a good base skill set and understanding that is widely applicable across many roles and industries. I hope that you find this review helpful!
NZIE is an excellent institution for anyone who is looking to gain practical learning skills and knowledge in the digital space. They offer a great variety of social media, design, SEO, email marketing and paid advertising courses to help build your digital skills. The tutors are caring, knowledgeable, passionate and supportive towards each student. NZIE equiped me with the theoretical and practical skills I needed to hit the ground running in the industry. I also landed a position in paid advertising on completion of my diploma as my employers could see that I ticked the boxes for my position. I recently took the Creating Video for Social Media course at NZIE. I found it informative. If you are about to do your own social media marketing or want to add a new skill set to your career, I would fully recommend you to do this course. Steve the instructor covered all the aspects of creating a social media video, from planning the storyboard, and filming to editing. You will be getting a well understanding of what tools and equipment you will need when comes to create a social media video.
I studied the Digital Marketing Diploma online when the course first moved during Covid. I loved my time there! Now that I have moved into the industry, have I realised just how valuable and relevant the content NZIE teaches is. You learn how to plan digital campaign strategies all the way from identifying relevant KPI's, how to choose effective engagement strategies, completing campaign execution, reporting on campaign outcomes, ROI's and making further recommendations data driven to optimise improvements. Since doing the course I have moved to Australia and managed to find a job. Thanks NZIE for giving me the tools to do the job! Thanks for igniting a passion and driving my curiosity to learn more in this fascinating and ever evolving field!
I studied the Digital Marketing Diploma remotely through NZIE from the start of 2021 and graduated in Feb this year. I didn’t know a lot about Digital Marketing when I first started, only that certain aspects surrounding content creation and social media interested me. From my first conversation with the recruitment advisor Phil, right through to the end of my diploma and beyond, the staff at NZIE have been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. I learned a huge range of interesting and valuable new skills, and I went from feeling like I had no options left post-COVID, to suddenly feeling like I had a huge range of opportunities and paths ahead of me – I just had to pick one! I did have minor issues with some of the course content doubling up in places, but the doubling up DID help reinforce some information of which there is a LOT, and I believe the feedback on that has resulted in some changes already. Other than that, I have only high praise for NZIE. I highly recommend taking the plunge if anyone is considering a career in any facet of Digital Marketing. You’ll meet great people and end up with so many useful skills and contacts!
I recently completed a SEO Strategy Course through NZIE and was extremely impressed about the quality of the course. The faculty and staff especially Phil were incredible friendly and helpful Phil was so patient and help me to get the offer so quickly. Overall, I highly recommend NZIE to anyone who is looking for digital marketing education.
Highly recommend! The practical approach to study really helped me conquer my job in the industry from the get go plus the great connections NZIE have with digital agencies helped me with landing a role in the industry.
Initially, I was somewhat sceptical about heading back to study so late in my career, as I already invested in plenty of online Digital Marketing courses thinking this would set me up for success. However, I soon found out that if one is looking for a role in the DM industry, they usually expect you to be officially qualified and have some experience in a working environment. Fortunately, while searching online I came across the NZIE website and figured 1 year out of my life wasn't so bad and signed up to the Diploma in DM course. I liked the idea that it was broken up into various modules covering the foundational aspects of DM and was conveniently located on the shore. I enjoyed meeting my fellow classmates and skilled lecturers who guided us through the course. I'm not really someone that enjoys schools/education, so I appreciated the time and dedication that the lecturers had, especially Rajika, who was the most caring and passionate person and taught us everything from the process of Academic Writing to the theories behind DM practices. The school had a welcoming feel to it and a terrific support system from the likes of Jana, who was always willing to help when it came to career progression in the form of internships and job offers. Steve is also an entertaining lecturer and an expert in his field, certainly one to pay close attention to. I would also like to thank Emily and Lasma, who brings a raft of real world SEO knowledge to the mix. The ability to learn online is also perfect for ever changing times. Thank you once again for creating this program and changing so many lives.
