Finished work early to collect my parcel with the card that was left on my doorstep. Did not have my drivers licence on me. Staff refused to give my parcel to me even after I offered to show proof of purchase for the parcel and offered alternative id. How can you not give someone their own parcel! Bloody stupid.
Don't usually bother with reviews, but after several experiences with rude unhelpful staff, last night takes the cake. Wasn't even me but another customer in the store who was clearly upset. Had obvious evidence of a parcel, the card to call, all identifying information including photos of 2 lots of ID, and a picture of the parcel from the sender - the whole store which was full of people were aware of what was happening as the staff member smirked and spoke down to her. Never seen anything like it. She was told to have someone else collect it - anyone, even with a bloody school bus card as ID, not named on the parcel etc - the poor lady explained she had been trying to have it redelivered but it wasnt working, no offers to help her or give her any advice - absolutely no sense to any of it but what really bothered me was the smirking, condescending attitude of the staff member. It was gross, I was going to offer to grab the ladies parcel but the staff member made it clear that she wouldn't be giving it to her now regardless. This staff member should not be working in a customer facing job and I hope the lady lays a formal complaint against her with nzpost. Embarrassment for nz post having someone like that, represent the company - if this is a franchise, you need to urgently train your staff on basic customer service and etiquette - I am sick of having to come here and deal with this lady myself, she needs to be help accountable for how she speaks to, and treats customers.
Was in the shop this afternoon and was witness to some absolutely disgusting treatment of a woman who had showed up to collect her parcel. I'm unsurprised that she was upset due to the way that the female staff member name beginning with R went above and beyond to ensure that nothing would be done to help this poor woman's plight. All while she had a smirk of superiority upon her face like she was enjoying the power and taking pleasure in causing the woman to get quite upset. I find it abhorrent that this staff member would not accept or allow a photo of ID as this poor woman, who had no physical ID card, and yet knew all the details of her item that she was there to collect. Plenty of other agencies around the country are happy to accept a photo of ID, it's not hard to match a face to a name and details. It's cases like this that really outline a vacuum in the gap between departmental policy, and human kindness and essential decency. In the changing world where we are relying upon companies such as NZ post to handle a lot of our shopping and purchases, there really needs to be a shake up in terms of how these companies operate. They need to be held to account for poor customer treatment and sub-par delivery and parcel handling operations. Sadly this is also reflected by other courier and post companies across the country.
I cringe every time I get a card left in the mailbox! The customer service at this store is so bad. Not only was I, yet again, disappointed today but the poor woman in front of me was absolutely not happy with the lack of service due to it being “10 minutes before closing, so we don’t have enough time to help”. The condescending attitudes on the staff in there is appalling. If they’re a representation of NZ Post no wonder things are falling to pieces for the company.
Worst experience delay delay delay….no update more than 3nweeks not delivered yet to its destination. Wrong information and commitments … rude customer service shame on you #nzpost
