I had to drop off a small package the other day and as soon as I walked in I could instantly tell the customer service was NOT going to be good.nAtmosphere is off.nSome of these staff employed are so sour, what is their problem?nAnd yes it is a lady, I think a couple of ladies there I have experienced bad customer service from not just one.nIf you can even realise you’d see there are a lot of bad reviews already, I’m not surprised as I have been to this store a lot of times and always get the same type of service.nI was genuinely nice and greeted them, didnt get hardly any response but a sour look, then watched as she turned around THREW my package into the bag they hold them in and didn’t say anything, no “thank-you have a great day” or anything. Who ever manages or owns this store seriously needs to have a chat about how to treat customers and their items.nI had mentioned this experience to a family member when I got home and they said “ no surprises there I’ve had the same service and am not looking forward to having to go there soon”n We only go there as it’s its closest to where we live and we shouldn’t have to go further just to get better service.nnIt’s such ugly behaviour, sort it out
No issues with the staff, but the logistics are poor. Closing at 5 pm on weekdays with no Saturday hours ignores the needs of full-time workers. Additionally, moving the branch to a small shop with limited parking has made the experience much worse. It feels like the service is regressing rather than improving.
Appalling customer service. Just blatantly rude. Need to hire younger more happier staff as the old staff that work here are just outright rude. There is no reason to treat people with such rudeness it is extremely sad to be treated this way. I walked out crying because of the way the old white lady spoke to me as if I was dumb, it seemed to me that she spoke down on me because of the colour of my skin, assuming I am dumb and I couldn’t read or something. The old white lady seems borderline racist. I’ve never been treated this way until now at this post shop. Being kind is free she may need to be taught how to be kind and respectful. After all that is what customer service is all about. Do better.
The ladies need personality transplants there. No need to be so pathetically rude, further to that- what Einstein decided to close down the post depot that actually had parking? Why the hell in a city the size of Dunedin do we only have one shop on south D? Not good enough!
The worst customer service I've ever seen from an NZ Post. You can really see the difference with how they treat white people and people of color. The eye rolling and the big sighs they let out if you ask them to repeat stuff they mumble to themselves. It's like they're not even trying to speak with you they just start mumbling words and expect a response. The smiles, greetings and small talk they offer to white people give way to poker faces and disinterest once it's a person of different color. Stay away from these folks.
