The staff were friendly. Room was large and comfortable with stunning view of the lake. We were celebrating a special location and the hotel made sure we were very welcome, including a generous fruit platter. A lot of options at the buffet breakfast including a fresh juicer which I think was amazing. They also do a buffet for lunch/dinner which was good. The only downside was the poor water pressure and tepid water temperature and the erratic wifi.
Excellent location but fair quality room. Used q-tip under cups as I was making myself a coffee!! Plain vanilla decor and carpeting needs to be replaced. The bed was very comfortable and lake views were great. Pool is too small for the facility and filled with kids. Wouldn't think it would be very hygienic.Rooms: 3/5
Upon arrival we noticed immediately that our air conditioner in the room wasn’t operating properly. We notified the front desk, waited 4 hours, and after no maintenance personnel arrived we called the front desk again. They said a few rooms were having the same issue, and hoped it would be resolved in the morning. By the middle of the afternoon the next day, it had finally been restored but still took the majority of the day to bring the room back to a tolerable sleeping temperature. The location is incredible, walking distance to the Lakeside and “eat street” to enjoy cuisine.
Good to excellent. Location excellent. Parking around building free but not secure. Breakfast a bit average. On our stay lots of tables were never cleared so had to wait for a table. Rooms a little on the small side. Comfy beds. Staff all friendly. Front desk needs two staff at all times for a better experience.
We got upgraded to the royal suite which was huge with its own pool! Made our family holiday fantastic with all the extra space for the kids. Staff were great, food was great. I'm gluten free so heaps of food options available plus they have the most amazing gf bagels !!! Its walking distance to playgrounds, lake and town. Will definitely be back.
A friend and i just spent 3 days in Rotorua just taking time out to relax. Staff were friendly and helpful location was perfect close to every thing. Room was great beds were so comfortable. Although we didn't spend a great deal of time in the room as we were out and about. The vibe is so relaxing and laid back down there will definitely be returning in the future. The only downfall was the weather but it didn't really dampen our spirits. 1 more thing the pool and spa were fantastic.
Having a road around New Zealand and decided to stop off at Roturua for the fun attractions, this place looked nice and had a great location with a bunch of restaurants around. We got there and had a pleasant checking in experience, there were nice friendly helpful, staff. The room had a perfect size for us and had a nice view. Now for the cons: Dirty carpets Dated and dire need of a renovation Expensive for what it is Overall 3 stars max and could definitely be better for the price.
My husband and I had stayed at this hotel for our mini-moon and loved our time there. Unfortunately I recently stayed for a few nights and had a very different experience. The mattress was far too soft and the pillow was lumpy. I was sent up a second pillow that wasn't any better. We stayed for three nights and each day while we were out, I hung the relevant sign on our door. Not once was our room fully serviced. One night I had to call the front desk for new towels and then found housekeeping in the hall to get our extra towels from using the hot pools collect and to get some new toilet paper. I was extremely disappointed with this experience and offered a few opportunities for redemption, including at checkout. I won't be recommending a stay there to others and don't think I'll stay there again.
Great location with friendly staff willing to help. Rooms could do with little bit of refresh but nothing major. BUT, if you forget something in the room good luck getting on hold of a real person. I have left voicemails, sent emails and still 8 days later nobody has contacted me. For that they get 1 star.Rooms: 4/5
