Welcome to Northland Pilates, the home of Pilates in Whangarei
Pilates is an orderly, balanced system of controlled, distinct movements that requires internal focus & concentration. It aims to lengthen & tone muscles promoting strength and flexibility while targeting the core. Best taught in a quiet environment, it is essentially a form of movement re-education, concentrating on ‘how’ to move correctly and efficiently, so is ideal for those rehabilitating after injury or illness. Many elite athletes, from rugby players to ballet dancers, use Pilates as an essential part of their training. Northland Pilates caters for men and women, regardless of age or ability and we specialise in rehabilitation and Pilates during pregnancy.
We offer small group classes in our intimate studios. Taught by experienced instructors, certified in the classical Pilates technique and with no more than eight in each class.
There is also a personal training option that includes working with specialised Pilates apparatus.
