Story

Multilingual words of welcome emblazoned on Northart’s window frontage invite all visitors into the gallery, open daily from 10am to 4pm during exhibitions. Tucked behind the Northcote shopping centre and alongside the library in the Kaipatiki region of Auckland’s North Shore, Northart is just ten minutes from downtown Auckland, with plenty of free parking and bus stops nearby. Northart provides an accessible and community focussed programme of exhibitions by emerging and established, local and national artists, which changes out every three weeks, so there’s always something new and interesting. You’ll also discover an associated programme of regular public events, classes and arts activities.

Great place showcasing many different artists with monthly openings of exhibitions back to back, always good to check out the local artists.
Great gallery. Good sized with 5 galleries and some great artists associated with it.
Awesome gallery in Northcote. Many different exhibitions run every year ending with the Pocket Art exhibition annually.
Great Art - Great Exhibitions. Visit a must.
A great local art gallery with a high turnover of quality shows.
Good to have some changes in life.
Awesome art classes for kids once a month.
Good art shows held the, pleasant staff.
As far as galleries go it was pretty good. Had toilets even, ive been to many galleries with no public toilets so that was nice.
the attendant didn't know anything and the "manager" was a little snobby and dismissive with inquiries. as an artist myself, I wouldn't want my art be displayed in a gallery where the staff doesn't know anything.
