Even two years after the Best Medical Centre's move from Oamaru to Christchurch, I continue to be grateful for the outstanding care my family received. I had an acute problem and was able to get an appointment on the same day as a tourist, they were on duty. The receptionist was super friendly, I had to pay a little more than locals but it was a fair price and I got a receipt that I can hand in to my travel insurance. I saw Dr. Grant for a gynaecological problem and she was super nice, thoroughly examined my problem and I got a prescription plan to follow until I get home. All in all a very good experience I was a little scared to face some trouble as a tourist.
One particular Dr not only got my medication wrong so I was without 180 tablets 6wks supply but she also text and prescribed me molaxole for constipation when I had clearly stated I had diarrohea. It's seems patients are just a number and this Dr does not listen. Other Dr's at this medical centre are great, this particular Dr is relatively new to the practice.
One of the doctor was mean, she said I was late. Surely I was 2 min late but whenever I go there early they let us stay up for 10-15mins. I don’t know if she is actually the doctor or what?? She also said I have to make an appointment for my different problem like why can’t see you all together? Maa”
Very personal receptionists and great doctor's very thorough and they know what to do with each case. do not have to wait 15 minutes till your appointment, usually. thanks to efficient number of Doctor's
