North Beach

Beautiful spot for walks on the beach or on top of the dunes. Dog and child friendly, coffee cart in the morning, parking, toilets and drinking water fountains nearby. Benches to perch with a coffee and watch the sunrise bring your own reusable cup . This is nature at its finest, views of snowy mountains up towards Kaikoura. Take photos, leave footprints, nothing else

I'm not really a beach person but it's awesome early in the morning as I just love taking pics of the sunset, usually around 7/8am

Great local beach, around 7am there is a coffee caravan so you might be able to get a coffee and sit on the beach. Just down from a local park, and New Brighton shops. Sunset's are amazing and worth the early morning rise, you can just see the tip of Sumner. Worth the visit.

Great for walks on the beach on cool days and swimming in the water on hot days in summer between the flags outside near the surf life-saving club.
