Keep it Green!
No. 8 Building Recyclers is Wellington City’s only building recycler. We have a talent for hunting and acquiring a variety of recyclable goods including French Doors, Doors and Windows, Flooring (Matai, Rimu) and other characteristic furnishings. We are proud to provide the service of Double Glazing also.
We offer a variety of services tailored to restoring the goods that we service. Our in store carpenter has a diverse 20 years of experience. We are capable of redeeming even the most seemingly hopeless of projects. We repair faulty fittings, superficial damages and deep, structural damages such as wood rot.
The complete collection of our stock is fairly obtained. The majority of our stock is sourced from demolitions, renovations and auctions. We are constantly prospecting for additional stock. We invite anyone with access to recycled or salvaged goods, particularly relevant to our main trade categories, to contact us. We are quick to provide a quote and are deeply appreciative of information. If we deem it recyclable, fitting of our store criteria, we will perform to organise a method for transport.
It is not popular knowledge that the purchase of recycling and restored goods occurs at a fraction of the cost of buying new. It is our specified motive to change this. The price of buying new is expensive and is compounded by two costs. The obvious cost is the paid for price for buying new. The less obvious cost is the missed chance for purchasing the rich history and craftsmanship that a restored item offers. A recycled and restored furnishing expresses great character, is beautiful without imitation, and can be trusted to last, having originally been built to survive.
At No. 8 Building Recyclers we specialise in providing a new lease of life. Alternatively, a lot of new furnishings are forced to try and mimic the original beauty and class already present in recycled goods.
Our business is focused on sustainability--a hallmark of recycling. A large and much spoken upon problem is wastefulness and general disposability of goods. There is too much entering our landfills and it is too easy to do so, particularly when the market for recyclables is relatively untapped, under represented. The price of buying refurbished or restored is considerably lower than buying new and is not compounded by the usual cost to the environment that disposing and then buying new makes happen.
At No. 8 Building Recyclers we believe and make an effort to example ourselves in sustainable business practices. This is our contribution to do good.
