Unassuming looking place. But the service was friendly, the guy was polite and happy to serve.nThe chips nice golden brown and not greasy.nThe batter on the fish was great, I'd recommend getting the terakihi over the normal fish.nThe cheeseburger was great for $7! A basic meat patty but I really liked the way the cheese was done!nSee photos :
I'm not usually impressed by fish n chips, usually pretty standard, but look at the size of the fish! The hotdogs were pretty big too. Tasted great, got tomato sauce there and ate it in the park. It was bloody cold but the food kept us warm so all good. FYI better value to buy combos than individual items.
Fantastic fresh battered fish, large amount of good chips. All tasted fresh and cooked in clean oil. Thank you for caring about what you sell to the public. 5 stars.
First time in New Zealand so of course I had to get fish and chips and according to my Kiwi boyfriend this place is the place to go and he is not wrong.nnI couldn't take a cute photo because I was hungry but I needed to leave a 5 star review because it is truly 5 stars.nnLook at the size of the fish and the chips and the hot dogs and crab sticks.nnWe ordered the $25 combo but I thought it wouldn't be enough food so I added a cheese toasty and another fish and I learned never to underestimate the proportions here.nn10/10. Love.
Great combos and impressive amounts of both fish & chips for the price you pay. Hard to beat this place if you want fried takeaway.
