I had no idea this was a public reserve until looking up the location on the map. It isn't a reserve that appears to be used often. It's sandwiched between a main road and the railway tracks. The football grounds are across the road and closer to the motorway and that area, with it's sporting focus, sees a lot more use. Ngakoroa Reserve, on the other side, may have some attention in future with the redevelopment of Drury township, but at present it is more of a paddock with a few bushes and trees. It would be useful if it became the site of the local train station once more. There are no public amenities here. Street parking only.
