Lovely park to watch my grandson play softball
Fantastic athletic families and great football field, if you are on newtown 1. Newtown one is a beautifully trimmed field, but newtown two is often very swampy and wet due to lack of drainage.
So lucky to have the facility available to use. Well maintained and hosts a club called Wellington united fc. Good team too! The track seems to be open to use and highly recommended a visit here if your a runner.
Track surface is coming up at the 100m start line, which is common every year. Wellington City Council does a patch job, but it always fails.nnAfter 5 pm, the lights do not come on and the track becomes unsafe. The toilets on the inside are never unlocked.
