This school has serious issues with bullying, fighting, and antisocial behavior, creating an unsafe environment for students. There's a concerning culture of victim blaming, and the leadership is toxic, non-transparent, and fosters exclusivity. The principal seems completely out of touch with reality. Instead of effective leadership, gaslighting and intimidation tactics are used. There's a clear lack of regard for the wellbeing of both the children and their families. I would strongly advise against sending your child to this school. Our experience here was traumatic. The single star I've given is solely in recognition of the few dedicated teachers who are somehow managing to teach under these appalling conditions.
I went here from 2009-2015, probably left strong lasting impressions for a couple of teachers in ways perhaps best left unexplained, but they were chill. Never understood why we had to eat outside no matter if it was sunshine, rain, wind, storm, tornado, hurricane, typhoon, flood, earthquake, tsunami, inflation, famine, war or economic depression but now that I am older I assume that it was out of consideration for the poor cleaners. Also they checked your lunchboxes but I, a rebel against oppressive powers, just dipped whenever teachers weren’t looking they’re really not that observant sometimes, no shade don’t sue me I’m studying law now. I think all the teachers have changed now, but I would recommend this school because Bellevue smellvue and why would you send your kids anywhere else than the very bestest Newlands Poolands right? Fantastic stuff, look at how I turned out! Utterly sensational, I sure hope you are feeling convinced. My kids go to this school.... Highly recommended for the zone.... All around education, sports and skate park and play ground with the longest slide in the whole of Wellington.
