They monitor students' interactions on social media, retaliate against those who expose their problems, and have a committee come forward to admonish students. They threaten suspension or expulsion, demand verbal and written self-criticism of "unprofessional"behavior , and ensure no repeat "offenses", while subjecting the student to long-term surveillance. They call that "support". All this unfair treatment stems solely from the student expressing dissatisfaction in a student group about having their assignments graded by someone in India with no New Zealand early childhood education qualification and experience. No classroom at all. Didn't have even one offline class. Online class once fortnightly. No refund. The worst experience in my life! Couldn't be worse! The existence of this organization is totally a shame to New Zealand!
I don’t recommend at all to take enrolment in NZTC. They don’t help you when you finish your study, my wife done Graduate diploma in early childhood from them, now she need simple letter documents of total working hours from them, but they not replying email and receptionist is not helpful at all, my wife is in stress at the moment, if I have chance I will give them 0 star for this service.
The lecturers have been helping me improve on my academic writing. They've been very supportive of my growth as a professional. The pastoral team has also been very encouraging and understanding of my situation as a student with young children.
Studying ECE is so painful with NZTC as NZTC make you two months unpaid practicums. It's quite stressful mentally & financially for students & their families due to higher mortgage/ rent and cost of living in Auckland. Iv personally not recommend NZTC for ECE study, rather study MIT or somewhere else.
Didn’t have a good experience here at NZTC. I found NZTC don’t have. A good enough support system when it comes to supporting students with their work. From my experience I needed a lot of support and it took nearly two three days to hear back from lecturers within email. I found the assessment briefing was not clear enough to my understanding. Mabe having a briefing video of each assessment would be good as it gives students to ask questions on the assessment . I honestly felt so alone and not supported one bit here as it’s all on your own learning. Learning online is not easy but I have moved onto another learning provider and I definitely can see the difference within support. I know each to there own as everyone has there own experiences but I didn’t enjoy my learning here at NZTC as I felt so alone and I reach out for support and didn’t get the support I needed when I needed.
Wont recommend to others. Not enough resources and explanations for assessments. If you expected few lectures video you have to listen to per paper, nope not at all, just some writings and readings. For example, asking me to write about characteristics of something when they won't give me any lists or explanations about characteristics.
When I was in trouble during my practicum, a practicum leader's response was incredibly rude and worsened the situation instead of providing proper student support. Even though I made a formal complaint, nothing happened. They need to reflect themselves why they have such a bad reputation in the ECE industry.
I'm international student studying ECE. I agree with other reviews and assessments and practicums are really hard while working. Struggling to find thousands of words each assessment and not easy to understand.
I've just completed my Early childhood Graduate Diploma few time ago and wanted to give a review about my experience in nztc for whom looking to study with them in the future. I had a very stressful year with difficult assignments and practicums. Its not easy to complete assignments and practicums as their expected level is very high. My friends experience also same who study with them. I would not choose this course if l read these reviews before.
Completely unhelpful, they give more priority to international students as they are earning more money from them as compared to domestic students. Domestic students who applied their applications not completed yet but international students who applied later got applications approval wow..very professional
