Totally worth a visit. The museum is in a great part of Auckland if you want to look around some amazing yachts and launches. This museum is constantly adding to their collection. Lots of history represented going way back to the Maori navigators who found Aotearoa.

We enjoyed our day here.  Loved to Ted sailing experience All the staff are lovely Highly recommend

Great place to take the kids old or young. Lots of things to look and read about. Interactive videos. Remember to take proof of auckland residence address

Free if you're an auckland resident, just show proof of address. Not a big site, some cool models, well crafted and great location. Good to take the kids around and show some history too

Was a bit dingy and smelly, exhibits not really interactive. Ship models cool but very little stories with them made it dull walk around. Best part was the photography of the year exhibition. Free for Auckland residents so good value I guess!

Well worth going. Especially liked stories about lighthouses around NZ.  Also saw the Geographic Photo Competition.  Wonderful. Glad I went.
