This is probably the only new world which is cheaper than Woolworths. The selections were good, staffs were friendly. Having both of these shops in Whitianga is very good for visitors.
Jose was stocking shelves and went out of his way to help us find the item we wanted. Great service!
Great place but why did we not get our groceries packed? I thought NewWprld packed for you into bags. We had to put into trolley and then carry all into our hotel.

My hubby and I do our weekly grocery shopping at New World Whitianga.nnWe love this supermarket as staff there are fantastic, especially Aaron who always relocates the trolleys from the car park area to tue entrance of the supermarket in very efficient and well- organised way.nnKristy is very friendly and helpful at the cashier counter. The store manager is also very helpful.nnHaving successfully collected 45 stamps on 11/7/2025, I finally redeemed the Cast Iron Braiser at the cost of NZD60.nnWe highly recommend you to shop there if you live in Whitianga or happen to visit there on holiday.
