Standard overpriced supermarket with the added thrill of receiving nasty static electrical shocks from the metal shelving units or anything metal that might be touching the shelves. It makes for an interesting shopping experience.nQuite a narrow range of goods available plenty of rock salt, never ever any Pacific flaky sea salt and quirky, slightly illogical placement of some lines that takes a bit of getting used to. Some curry pastes and sambal oelek among the dry spices! Delicious individually packaged giant dill pickles in the Asian foods section! Tahini amongst the breakfast spreads! Steak and Cheese pie amongst the chilled vegan products!nFresh produce is generally in good condition, and some products are hopelessly mislabeled. Meat/butchery looks pretty good. Nice to see turkey mince appearing. Also a good range of the superior l'authentique charcuterie.nFish sometimes poorly stored and exhibiting signs of age. Weird signature dish of take-home salmon mignon looks frightening - salmon fillet wrapped in graying streaky bacon, topped with oxidised basil ? pesto.nEqually odd are the jars of faux salmon caviar, presumably made in the molecular gastronomy style in a factory far, far away.nDeli counter looking fairly grim, decorated ham often a clumsy centerpiece.nReasonable selection of local and imported recreational cheese.
Weirdest new world I've been too. No one at any checkout even greeted anyone with a hello. Some lovely old guy stacking shelves was the only person that said hello thru out the store. Do better if you dont want to work in a customer service role find another job
Good selection, well stocked for a small shop. Also well staffed, which keeps from the lines! Always use the club card for savings!
I tried to purchase a rather shameful item around a month ago were I was wrongly accused of sterling before I was charged twice in-front of multiple people and a scene being made before they asked to check cameras was to embarrassed to stay and had to come get refunded the next day were they were unapologetic short and rude . Most hostile and unfriendly experience simply because of my age will not be coming back
Really weird vibe to this place. Workers here are not friendly at all. Customer service is really bad. Tried to ask for help looking for something and got nudged off. Won't be coming back.
