The alcohol at countdown is way cheaper so we bring our own from home. So new world turangi is only good for the basics, like bread and milk when on holiday in the area.
A decent supermarket in such a remote area. Very big, you can find anything you need in there. I wouldnt say its cheap cause its definitely not cheap but not hugely expensive. A lot of choices available. Alcohol choices is decent as well.
Very impressed. Clean organized and friendly staff. More goodies then in taupo. And easy access from next door camp ..
Great location and very good selection, especially given the remoteness of the general area. Somewhat pricey but I guess you pay for something you cannot get anywhere nearby!

Some of the food this New World has we don't get at our Whanganui store. The pavalova with caramel and cream YO THAT'S SO GOOOOOD. Sorry no pics ate it to soon lol
