I have received excellent customer service from your manager, James Moody, on two separate occasions in the last few days!!nnThe first was in regards to your Club Pricing which he took the time to explain to me and how myself, as a tourist from Canada, could utilize it. The second was in regards to a replacement on a bakery product that didn't taste right, which he promptly and courteously handled.nnNew World needs more managers with the interpersonal skills of James!! Give that man a raise!!
Please asking the receipt if you buy anything here!!!!!!!!nnWe came to here in April 18th, 2024.nWe just traveled here and bought some food and snacks. I was shocked when I checked out because it was NZD 279!nThe cashier asked me if I wanted the receipt, I usually don’t keep it, but I really want to know why it is so expensive.nI found out there is a $100 gift card on the receipt, and we didn’t have it!!nThankfully, we had asked for the receipt!nnWhen we went back to asked for the refund, they said we could only have cash back, which is also bad because we are foreigners, there would have extra 3% foreign transaction fee. They said it’s their policy.nnThey even never felt any sorry about this.nnThey are the biggest supermarket in the Wanaka. I don’t think this review would change anything, but just want to remind everyone,n“Please check your receipts!!!”
One of the best New Worlds I’ve been to. I found everything I needed with no trouble. They had a large selection of chilled drinks as well which was handy didn’t have to wait in any queues either.
Bunch of greedy profit hungry tyrants. Can't respect the countries laws and heritage and can't enjoy a rare holiday.nSay they're trying to help their fellow kiwi's, but not how I remembered it when we were getting ripped off by the same mob during Covid-19.nShould be fined $100k, not $1000.
Thank you to the staff for trying to assist when I had lost my car keys, even though I had not lost them in New World. I’m foreign to New Zealand and had no idea who to go to for help, so I tried my luck here.nnThe staff kindly lent us a phone to call the police hotline as well as searched for mechanic or locksmith options.nnWe eventually found the key! Thank you once again.
