5 Star plusnI have been staying here in Matamata for a few months due to fly back home soon. This is the best New World I have ever visited here in my home country. The staff are amazing so friendly, even if any of the staff are having s bad day you don't know about it. They are absolutely amazing. Other branches need to take a leaf out of their book. Basically see how they work with their customers.
Used Matamata New World catering food for our Golden Wedding lunch last weekend. We ordered three different salads,hot chickens ham pork, white bread rolls , fruit platters and a Black Forest Gateau. Food was perfect and packed in great containers all ready to pick up at the appropriate time. Thankyou New World . I highly recommendnyour service. Worked so well for us.
Asked a staff member if they had a product in-stock that was empty on the shelf, got told if it's not on the shelf then no we don't have it out back. I ask why the ticket was stilling displaying the product if it's not in stock, got told I don't know what I'm taking about and it's not in stock so move on. Went to go purchase chicken breast as it's on special, grab a packet and the bottom was covered in chicken juice and leaking. I advised one of the butchers but got told there's nothing they can do about it while they had a trolley fully stacked of chicken breast that was leaking onto the floor. Highly unprofessional.
Great selection huge store, fresh bakery, staff helpful and a lottery stop and more, clean and tidy.
