New World Pukekohe is my favourite place to shop for groceries. The deli and bakery sections are fantastic. I highly recommend the fruit flan. The pastry was super crispy and the fresh fruit on top was delicious. We often buy pork pies for our ploughman's lunches from the deli section. I have been looking for sparkling bottles water. None at Costco or PaknSave. New World have them:nnSadly I have stopped buying their chicken baguette filled rolls after they significantly reduced the size of the rolls. I hate shrinkflation.nThe review would have been 5/5 but I had to mark my rating down to 4 due to the deli shrinkflation.
Tidy store and amazing bakery! One lady at the checkout always looks like she doesn't want to be there. Other staff super friendly and helpful.
Ordered cauliflower, gave me a cabbage. Charged me for a cauliflower which is more expensive than the cabbage. Still haven't had a response from them about it. Went in-store to sort it out, told me to message their customer service line, which I had already done so.nnPackaging of the bags was not very good. Bag of sugar packed on top of the bread, causing it to be squashed. Tins and bananas put together, yet other fruits and veg put together.nnJimbos put together with meat.nnFirst time online shopping with them, and probably the last time.
The meat is always fresh, and the shop is consistently well-presented. I also can find a range of healthy options and superfoods. The bakery is exceptional—everything looks enticing and tastes delicious. I always pick up some treats from the bakery counter.
Just posted a couple of pics of a $8.99 salmon bagel I bought today, it looked delicious but when I got home and looked closer it had filling only in the front half to make it look good in the cabinet, some salmon in the front bit, a couple of dobs of cream cheese, some capers thrown in and a bit of parsley. How disappointing. Really??? Unfortunate, because the freshly made food here looks so good, but now I don't trust what you're actually getting, so I won't be back
