I am from out of town. I found a sparkling clean, well stocked New World. The produce not only looked fresh but was exactly that. I could get everything I needed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. This supermarket is obviously run by an excellent team.
Re EXCESSIVE SUBSTANCIAL 40% Price increase of $3.00 for 1 small in store deli meal, targeting Vulnerable Disabled and Elderly consumers/customers unable to prepare their own meals, essential to their dietary needs! complaint made on store website expecting a LOCAL store MANAGEMENT response/contact only to receive a New World franchise Automated response to pricing complaints! I have just received what I can only determine as an Automated response for all pricing complaints you receive! I am extremely disappointed with this response being it is only telling me facts I, as a consumer, am fully aware of, and understand to a point, and accept fair rates for price increases, including these in store products. However in this instance the excessive pricing increase I, as a disabled customer, have been subjected to is STORE LEVEL, being an in store deli prepared meal specifically marketed to the elderly and disabled customers that are physically unable to prepare meal’s themselves, not to mention having to survive on a very restricted budget/ benefit income only! I personally, In addition to many other disabled and elderly customers, some of which they have only because I have referred them to the great service they offer, have been buying several of the in store deli meals weekly as a means of getting much needed dietary requirements. They were priced at $7.99 for a small deli roast meal for one, and as advised by deli staff, only available on previously cooked meats, ie Chicken, Beef and Pork, for sale that are “left over “ . Therefore a way for the supermarket to make additional profit whilst avoiding the need to write off the stock. On returning to the supermarket last week to purchase my weekly meal requirements I was extremely shocked and upset to be faced with the meals now priced at $10.99 !!!! A substantial $3.00 , almost 40% !!!! Increase!!!! Far exceeding any cost of living or products included price increases !!! The increase has resulted in having to cut back on the meals being the cost the increase for the quantity my budget will allow! What is even more upsetting is that these meals are predominantly purchased by the local elderly and disabled customers, most of which do not have transportation and are dependent on these meals! This excessive increase is targeted to, and impacting on the vulnerability of these consumers, a minority of the store’s turnover. An extremely unfair and unjustified implementation by what is marketed as “a community orientated” supermarket!! I believe that this store needs to reassess this excessive increase and it’s impact on their vulnerable customers accordingly as a “community “ owner operated store, and not “hide behind “ the supermarket chain as has clearly happened in this matter! Regards from a very dissatisfied and disappointed, disabled and concerned member of the vulnerable community.
Very decent food selection. Parking quite limited though. Great customer service.
Very nitpicky with security. When coming into the shop on a hot sunny day, they still expect you to take your hat off. Never done that at a super market before, even if you try to tilt it up to show your face. Got yelled at by checkout lady for going in through the checkout section. Maybe she could have yelled at the customers blocking the entrance I couldn't get into. Parking and traffic is terrible there too. Not going back as I feel I'm going to get accused of shoplifting soon.
Ok supermarket..awesome staff with great people skills...
Just cool to shop when you have great staff that make you feel special and safe shopping.
Limited hours, specials aren't specials and are often more expensive than other shops normal price. Gaslighting you into thinking you're getting a deal.
No bags,No hats,No Trust= No customers, The culture is negative!Bullying&Frustrating.been screamed at not my department. I’ve seen supervisors scream at staff not right! Why Security at the door?? When you got over 30 Security Cameras.all are just rude and judgemental! Witnessed bullying and discrimination of both staff and customers.every other supermarket i have no problems of any kind .why this one so bad says alot !! Actually I refuse an won’t go back… I go to New World Greenmeadows! Were I’m welcome with open arms oh yes I have worked for this company before In taradale awhile bk still owned by same people today good people..shame can’t say for onekawa
The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. Well done guys. I like cooking to the store because of you : First impressions count to a customer and the store front needs a good clean and a new and living plant to replace the dead one at the entrance.
Need efficient and friedliy staff especially cashiers and floor staff
