I am disappointed with the click and collect and delivery services from this store New World Masterton. I have mobility issues but I do have a car, so I initially thought I could use the click and collect service as a Supermarket store is too large for me to shop in for myself. To use the click & collect at New World Masterton, there is rarely a disabled park near enough as click and collect groceries have to be collected from the service desk inside the store. So I tried for delivery, only to have my groceries dumped on my doorstep without even a ring at my doorbell, even though I was home. The first time this happened I phoned the store to explain I needed the delivery person to help me by bringing inside the heavier items and to at least hand the rest to me, so I didn't have to bend down to retrieve them from my doorstep. The second time I received the same poor service so I'm shifting to Woolworths.nPrior to moving to Masterton I lived in Hamilton and New World Hillcrest were wonderful. They had a dedicated Click & Collect place where cars could drive in. The store staff always carried my groceries to my car boot. If I needed delivery, the delivery person always knocked my door and helped me in with my groceries. I expected similar from New World Masterton, sadly that isn't the case.
Definitely a better carpark now that you have control of it. You need to change the self service machines message as flybuys are not existent anymore. Great scones. Store presentation is always brilliant
It is a great place to shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Some items were not very cheap, but they do have a great variety of products to choose from.
Not sure how they cook their eggs for the egg salad but they are as touch as golf ball Rubbery hard blobs of white stuffnThe bakery section is very good - lot's of choice - fresh and inviting
Another supermarket, nothing to add other than the porterhouse steaks were the best.
