We stopped shopping at New World nationwide due to their hidden parking cameras that they outsorce to agrresive private companies. Its illegal anyway what New World does by handing fines to customers that shop there and threatinig wheelclamps. Just do not go there. Actually 0 stars.

Iask to explain why they just turn ther backs and ignored me .very poor customer service .just treated me like shit .pus over time the deli has gone down hill prices gone up and standard gone down??.work on your customer service very poor .wollworths here i come
I went into get a few things with my family for dinner Saturday 20th December . There was no rush as it was close to 7:30 pm . We got to the counter and the lady on with short brow hair, bright blue eyes had no patience smile or interest in being nice. The young girl helping with bagging recognised her rudeness and was disgusted at her response when I gave her my number to look up my rewards on the till. When giving my number she held her hand up to my face and said hold up,hold up hold up. First of all never put your hand up to a customer in no situation as simple as this. And second I think you need to find a new job. If you have no passion for customer service ,don't be in it. We all have busy lives. No excuses. Maybe better training on front especially for the older ones who seem to have forgotten the basics. setting a bad example to the younger ones coming through.do better!
Refused to sell a 25+ year old with multiple forms of valid ID drivers license and passport one single beer. Management need to have words with how staff deal with ID queries as, reading the reviews, this is not a one off and beyond petty.
I have been getting New World shopping pads at xmas for years. Since moving to Whakatane have not been able to get one for the last 3 years. It appears they order so few that I suspect it covers family, staff and friends of the owners only. Well a merry xmas to you too - 3 years as a customer and no rewards. Asked staff on Tuesday and was advised available during sale. Asked todays and was advised they all went yesterday and were only available at the Xmas market which is so well advertised I haven't even heard of it. Whakatane New World owners appear to adhere to not a very merry xmas for anyone.nMaxine Harrington
