Clean, tidy, good layout. Checkout service was efficient and friendly, however, the bag packer was called away so I finished packing my own groceries rather than waiting for a replacement.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good selection of everything. Specifically went to get Birthday cake, good selection. Mondays good day for supermarkets, not for Bakeries.
I'm 39 years old and I couldn't buy a wine because I looked underage. I showed my Australian driving license which shows my age but was told this is not a valid document here, just the passport. How can this document be valid for me to drive across New Zealand but not to buy wine? Ridiculous. These attendants seem like machines following silly rules, not thinking humans who could easily see my age on the presented document without further embarrassment.
I recently came to motueka and spent a week there, i came to the motueka new world twice and was impressed with the layout, staff helpfulness and service. Fantastic. You live in a beautiful, friendly, relaxed location and it certainly reflects in your staff.
I was surprised there is a big supermarket in a small township. Really grateful we can shop for essential foods.

The best range of craft beers you’ll find anywhere. Check the photo - and that’s in addition to the fridge of mainstream and “established” craft brewers. Crafty heaven
