What an absolute rip off. Advertising stuff at $5.65 then charging me literally double because I don’t have a reward card. I understand that there are discounts for loyal customers but this is an actual joke.nnThe silver lining here is that it was a good reminder why I don’t come in here if I don’t have to. New World is the worst supermarket in NZ.
Have gone in multiple times before but this was by far the worst experience. Purchased 2 items at the self serve check out, a staff member monitoring the self check outs was quite rude, I had to manually enter in a bakery item, I couldn't find it on the screen but gave it a try before asking for help, the lady pushed me to the side and put it in herself, despite pushing me to the side I thanked her with a smile, I then felt judgement from her for paying with 3 $5 notes, as I finished paying, I walked towards her and said thank you again with a smile, in return I got a dirty foul look up and down then looking away, what kind of customer service is that!? This staff member was what looked to be 50s roughly!
Might be the worst service of all time no offense, most the time you are assisted by nice and friendly staff. But I got yelled at twice for trying to access the cartveyor, I did go the wrong way, but the stores layout confuses me a bit, apologies. Though I get it I guess but, I don’t get why you need to yell at a minor accident. Kind of ruined my day lowkey, just be more polite to people plz.
Very disappointed with the quality of the coffee from the retail point in the foyer. Not just the quality of the coffee, but the surly attitude of the staff. Today, the woman serving made it obvious that she had better things to do than make me coffee.
Look at all those wonderful rows of produce, chocolates, chips and more. You won't be disappointed by the selection here. Long operating hours too.
