Either love it or hate it, it's either hot and calm or blowing your legs off with that easterly. Parking close by, but didn't leave valuables in car. Great place to get out over the sea, the waves...yes best wharf, but birds, fishing smells and that wind, why??? . My kids love it, watching the waves, seagulls and smell....yup blows cobwebs - and the spiders - away! . Bathrooms in the library which is a great place to also sit and watch....lol.
Came here in mid January recently.nIt was a bright sunny day and many people were fishing and swimming.nAnd the local library is also here.nGood that the town has these facilities for the residents.
I was finally able to take my boys here, and what an experience. Although the weather can always be a questionable thing, the wind can be chilly its just beautiful no matter the day. People fishing off the sides, a nice wee viewing area down the very end, elevator access up through the library. A wee café its just amazing
I was surprised at how big it looks. Looks new clean wide with an impressive view. It was said there was 3 fishers fishing at a no fishing on Sunday. Good playground, library,and although we were out of season there is a small pool there.
The New Brighton Pier is such a beautiful place, seating all along the walk. Fishing area at the end of the walk as well as a part of it dedicated to no fishing. A gorgeous place to take photos, can access the pier from 3-4 different places. Overall just an amazing experience.
