Nelson Taxi Hire

Consistently takes nearly an hour to arrive. Doesn't inform people of delays despite knowing exactly where every car is. The only reason they don't get one star is because the drivers are always pleasant and respectful.

The rudest customer service ever at call centre, they hung up on me on mid sentence.. I’d give -5 stars due to that if possible. Drivers seem nice and taxis arrived fast. But incredibly unprofessional behaviour by dispatch person

This is by far the worst taxi service I've ever had the displeasure to use. The operators either hang up on you while you're still talking or they are incapable of finding an address on their system. I looked up my location on Google and had to spell it out to the operator and they still couldn't find it. The address was in Nelson at a very popular summer accommodation at a busy street. Having said that, the taxi drivers are fine. Unfortunately there aren't any other options available to pick you up to/from the airport.

Booked a taxi to the airport through the automated booking system then spoke to an operator to get an estimate arrival time. He couldn’t tell me whether it would arrive within an hour or not and was extremely rude and condescending. Never trust these guys to get you anywhere on time. Booked through SunCity taxis instead who were extremely polite and were able to get a taxi to us within 10 minutes.

Walked to the airport, thanks to Nelson City Taxis! Two stars so I don't get filtered out; we scheduled a taxi hours in advance, and when it was 15 minutes late we called. No, it wasn't on the way... no, they couldn't even tell us when we could expect it !... and NO APOLOGY which I thought was pretty wild, just "ok, bye then" and no I'm not exaggerating. Lucky for us we left a big time buffer, and we needed it. Do not rely on Nelson City Taxis if you need to... you know... make it to the airport!

DO NOT BOOK THIS. The worst customer service encounter. We needed a taxi service ASAP and the lady on the phone who was booking the ride was extremely rude. When we got to the car, we realised we were going to the wrong direction since the driver was informed of the wrong address. However, the driver was nice enough to guide us to the right way. They ended us charging double for the trip.

Ordered 3 taxis at 4pm for 6.50pm. None of them showed up. Called the company when none of them arrived at the confirmed time and they said there was no booking put in despite the call/confirmation that was made at 4pm so I ordered some more for immediately at 6:50 . Both of which arrived about 20mins apart. The third one managed to not find my address and the rest of the people had to book an Uber instead. Very poor service as we had a table booked and we were 40 mins late for our dinner reservation. No wonder taxis are a dying breed.

Recently booked a Nelson taxi to go to the airport. It did not arrive at booked time. I rang three times asking where my taxi was. On one of the calls I was put through to enquiries - there was no answer. My wonderful neighbour dropped me at the airport instead. The cab turned up at my house 15minutes before checked baggage closed. On previous occasions they’ve been on time - which is why they get two stars. Not very reliable in this instance.

Car arrived in less than 5 mins. Used this service twice and it didn't disappoint. Great service and awesome friendly drivers

Absolutely appalling customer service. Tried to book a taxi multiple times.. waited over an hour on one occasion. Booked in advance for a wedding but they made no guarantee that the taxi would be there at the pick up time and said it depended on how many bookings there were at the time what is the point in making a booking in advance then?? The call centre staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Do not book with this business.
