Four truck loads of hay and straw has been donated to folk affected by the Nelson Fires. We need your support to get it to them asap.
To get donated hay and feed to the farmers and folk who need it after the devastating Nelson fires
Nigel Young and Oli Austin from Quality Feeds and Contracting South Canterbury, Neville and Ferg from Mid Canterbury Baling have donated over 120 round bales of meadow hay & medium squares of straw and the use of two trucks for delivery for farmers and people affected by the Nelson Fires.
We are a bunch of like minded contractors who just want to help and are doing this for free out out our own time and resources. If you would like to contribute or be involved, contact Paule on 027 608 0330 or Baz 027 621 0586
We still need some additional help to get the feed up there. We have four unit loads of feed to deliver so far. Fed Farmers are on board and are helping to unload and distribute once we get there with Fraser Clarke Fed Farmers and Farmlands Rep co-ordinating in Nelson
We need;
Two more trucks and appropriately licensed drivers
Sponsorship for Fuel and Road User km’s for the trucks there and back
Assistance with one nights accommodation for the drivers (its a 7 hour trip laden one way)
Back loads - anything you want brought back from Nelson as the trucks will be empty contact us to arrange
