Interesting building. Council has lots to do and usually manages to keep most of the people happy most of the time. Common for councils to be average.
Your toilet block in Montgomery square is absolutely amazing. A real asset to your central city. So clean and staff very friendly. Well done. I wish Blenheim had one.
Although we have had cause to ring the council number on a number of occasions water, recycling problems etc, the phone etiquette, helpfulness and knowledge of the staff answering has been outstanding. No matter what time of day or day of the week, the response has been quick. A service that those responsible for should be proud of.
The cleaner did a poor job in Tahunanui Reserve areas like they have never been cleaned. It has never reached the highest standard, either they are okay or under. Please check randomly regularly your contractor, OCS. Very slack, it is our ratepayers money in the end that have been wasted.
Now I’m all for well funded local authorities. But the ‘stationary parking infringement’ that my partner received was simply a joke. It was a shop a yob cell phone photo job from a civilian taken from within their car. All she wanted to do was to pick her mother up....
You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The building may not look that good but the people inside are awesome. The city's staff has been extremely helpful. From the parking ticket officer who gave us a ticket to the lady at the City Council offices.
