Musical tuition for all ages, in a warm, friendly environment that encourages artistic self-expression
Lovely venue for music. The acoustics are great and the hall is a really nice place to be. There's a regular programme of musicians and visiting orchestras and ensembles.
Great afternoon with the Nelson Civic Choir - Opera Gala Concert
Visiting the Nelson School of Music is always an uplifting experience. This time the concert we attended was high quality, fun and varied. I wish the 4 tenors from our very own Pacific neighbours all the very best with their singing careers.
NCMA is not very well known with their cooperation and is a very conservative place if you're thinking of a performance. Unless you are tied with one of the national organizations such as CMNZ, AOTNZ, good luck trying to get a spot and breaking even on their stage even if you are going to perform. The stage doesn't live up to its legend at the moment and I highly recommend that you stay away from trying to deliver a concert.
Great venue and acoustics awesome. First time I've performed there, hopefully not the last. Fantastic performance by all.
The Centre is growing in popularity though holding very good performances by the Nelson Symphony Orchestra and visiting guest artists. To be recommended.
Wonderful building, restored and updated whilst retaining it's original structure and charm. An asset to Nelson.
This is a beautiful performing venue, with excellent modern facilities, whilst retaining old world charm in the main auditorium.
Great concert venue. Would love more gigs here, of the quality of Reid & Ruins.
