Nelson Caravans are located at 106 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson, NZ.

We believe the English caravan is the best available for New Zealand conditions. Nelson Caravans specialise in Swift, Sterling Sprite caravans imported direct from the UK.

All our caravans are suitable for year round use. Whether you use your caravan for touring or permanent living, you will be warm and comfortable in your well equipped English caravan.

All our caravans are sold fully compliant with New Zealand standards. Free delivery in the South Island, including to Picton ferry. Delivery in the North Island available by negotiation.

Open to Saturday 12 noon to 4pm, or by arrangement.

I think these guys wrote the book on customer service. So friendly, helpful and professional, I wish every customer experience was as great as this one! Vern went out of his way to ensure I could get my motorhome not bought from him back on the road after hot water cylinder issues. Great communication, excellent co-ordination of the various contractors needed, nothing too much trouble - what more could you ask for from a business?! 11 out of 10. If I switch to a caravan at some point, I know exactly where I will be buying it from! Thanks Vern and Julie

Bought a new Swift caravan from Vern at Nelson Caravans. We are from Scotland and are over for 6 months touring your fantastic country. From our first meeting to picking up the Caravan , this company were the Biz., nothing was too much bother from Vern and his team. Plus he gave us a very good price buying the caravan

If I could give 6 stars I would. Vern and his team are amazing.  The best service and our caravan Swift Callenger Off Road exceeded our expectations! 6 months later and I am pleased to say the after service has been excellent

Excellent service from Vern and Julie.

Purchased a caravan September 2018 from Paula. No problems with the purchase procedure. We have had 18 issues with the caravan Swift 580 Eccles since. The major problem being a water leak in the shower that took 5 months and 8 visits to repair. We are now left with damage to the panelling. The company has no solution to fix this. All acrylic windows required replacing due to scratching. Battery required replacement. We would not recommend these vans for permanent living. They're too light and fragile. The follow up was terrible. Paula lost interest as she had sold the business. Vern, new owner has been good but didn't really want to know about it. Overall a very bad purchase and follow up experince. Causing a great deal of stress and anxiety.

We just purchased and taken delivery of a Swift Basecamp. The caravan is fantastic. Vern at Nelson Caravans was awesome to deal with and the service professional and friendly. With all the hassles of doing business during COVID-19 he was awesome. I have no hesitation in recommending Nelson Caravans.

The best place to buy a caravan Paula was very knowable and her vans are awesome.  We are coming back to buy one.. cheers Steve
